Garda Appeal For Info Following Spate Of Burglaries At Clare Businesses

Gardai are appealing for information following a spate of robberies at businesses in Clare.

The incidents happened on Wednesday and Sunday of last week in the Bodyke, Quin and Sixmilebridge areas.

In the first of three burglaries highlighted by Gardaí, the East Clare Golf Club was targetted by thieves, who got away with a sum of cash sometime between 7pm on Wednesday evening and 7am the following morning.

In a separate incident in the early hours of yesterday morning, at around 3.30, the alarm was activated at the Tailor And Blue Coffee Shop on Main Street, Quin.

Entry was gained by forcing the front door and the daily float containing cash was stolen.

Just an hour later in Sixmilebridge the Mrs. Breen’s Cafe on Pound Street was targetted, though those involved didn’t manage to gain entry to the premises.

Gardaí are not publicly linking the two incidents.

They are appealing to anyone with informaiton on these incidents or who may have dash cam footage to contact their local Garda Station.
