Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a significant criminal damage incident at a secure compound in Ennis over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, one man entered the compound at the Quin Road Business Park and threw a flammable liquid onto a caravan and set it alight, while a number of other vehicles were damaged.
Gardaí believe those involved made their escape on foot on the Quin Road, heading in the direction of Ennis.
Community Engagement Sergeant Edel Burke said “the perpetrators in this instant, we believe entered and exited the compound from the rear boundary fence which leads you onto the Clareabbey river walk, and we believe they walked onto the Quin Rd and left on foot for Ennis Town.
“If you have dash cam footage between midnight and half past on the 04/05/25, which was Saturday night into Sunday morning we would like to see it”.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or may have information in relation to this crime, to please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 68 48 100.
