Garda Appeal After Injured Woman Discovered On Main Street In Corofin

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her sixties was discovered with serious injuries on a North Clare village street.

The incident happened in Corofin in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The alarm was raised around 4.30 yesterday morning, after a local resident discovered an injured woman on Main Street in Corofin.

Units from the National Ambulance Service, as well as Gardaí were dispatched to the scene.

The woman in her sixties was subsequently taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, where she’s being treated for a number of serious injuries.

Gardaí area appealing to anyone passing through Corofin yesterday morning between 2am and 4.30am, who may have observed this woman on Main Street to contact them.

They’re particularly interested in speaking with drivers who have dash-cam footage on their vehicle.
