Merit Medical has announced it’s to take on 200 new workers at its base in Galway city, with the positions due to come on stream over the next five years.

While Salthill software firm Copperfasten Technologies is hiring an extra 37 staff.
And in the capital, 30 new jobs are being created by insurance group, MSI Management – which is opening a new office in Dublin as a hub for its UK and Ireland underwriting and claims business.
The announcements in Galway today bring to around 900, the number of new positions created in the county through a series of announcements by different companies including Cisco, Aviva and SAP over the past two months.
