Futur Energy Ireland is moving to address any concerns of locals this week on the proposed development of the Knockshanvo Wind Farm.
The renewable energy development would be located on a site approximately 3km south of Broadford and 4km northeast of Sixmilebridge.
The preliminary design layout conisists of nine wind turbines, which if constructed would provide enough clean electricity to power over 32,000 homes.
This week, two local Community Liaison Officers , will hand-deliver newsletters to houses within 2km of the would-be site in an effort to ensure residents are consulted throughout the planning process.
Futur Energy Ireland Portfolio Director, Paul Blount says the project would be extremely beneficial for the local community.
