Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend their truce in Gaza by another day to allow peace talks to continue.

The extension was announced just before an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire was about to expire last night.
Palestinian negotiators say today will be the deal-breaker – either an agreement is reached, or hostilities will resume.
