The number of new cars sold in Clare is at its highest level in seven years.

Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that 1850 new cars have been registered in Clare between January and May.
This is a 27% increase on the same time last year.
Motor dealers will be hoping for another pickup in sales from next month, when the '152' plates will be rolled out.
