Further growth in flights at Shannon Airport

The Irish Aviation have reported a growth of nearly 10 per cent in the number of flights at Shannon Airport last month.

February saw over 1100 commercial flights at the airport, 9.9% higher than in the same month last year.

In its release, the Aviation Authority says they're pleased to see growth at Shannon and also at Cork, calling it "a clear indication that the economic recovery is spreading."

Last month was the first time in over a year that growth was recorded at each of the State's three main airports.
