The executive of the country's largest secondary teachers union will meet tomorrow to decide its next step after its members rejected the latest Junior Cycle reforms.
ASTI members rejected the proposals by 55 per cent but only around 38 per cent voted.
Teachers in the TUI have voted to accept the proposals by more than two to one.
The Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan says she's 'deeply' disappointed and she will consult with parents, students and management bodies in the coming weeks.
