Further Death On Irish Roads

A man in his seventies has died after a two-car crash in Co. Waterford.

It happened at about two o’clock this afternoon in Dunmore East – and brings to seven the number of people who’ve died on the country’s roads over the past five days.

Meanwhile, the Road Safety Authority is advising people to be extra careful on the roads in the coming days – as Met Eireann has issued a severe weather warning.

Winds gusting up to 140 kilometres per hour will batter the country today and tomorrow – which is likely to lead to fallen debris or tree branches on some roads in County Clare.
