An updated application for funding to cover the cost of storm repairs in parts of West Clare has been submitted to the Office of Public Works.
Farmers in Doonbeg and in Ballynacally/Kildysart were among those who saw their lands submerged under feet of water during the bad weather of early last year.

Since then, they've found it difficult to pursue an application for funding but now an updated submission has been made for the OPW.
It's estimated that around €1 million of coastal protection works would resolve issues in both areas.
