The funeral takes place today of a man who lost his life in a tragic swimming accident in North Clare.
41-year-old Patrick McCarthy, from Ballyvaughan, died after getting into difficulty in Fanore on Monday night.

He’ll be laid to rest in Noughaval Cemetery this afternoon.
He’s survived by his his wife Christina, daughters Méabh, Caoimhe and Siobhan and son Jack.
