A Memorial Walk to raise funds for a new state-of-the-art hospice unit for the Midwest will take place on Sunday.

Work is due to begin later this year on the new 34-bed singled roomed unit, which will serve Clare Limerick and North Tipperary.
The 5K walk will travel from University of Limerick Sports Arena and finish on the grounds of Milford Hospice, where hundreds of hand-written tributes by friends and family on colourful ribbons will adorn a special memorial tree.
Chief Executive Milford Hospice Pat Quinlan is asking people to support the fundraiser, and says the new unit will be a vital expansion of their services.
