Fundraisers For Typhoon Victims Across Clare

Communities across Clare will support those affected by Typhoon Hiyan through fundraisers over the weekend.

More than 11 million people have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan – with hundreds of thousands left homeless.

It comes as the Diocese of Killaloe pledges 100 thousand euro to support the work of Trocaire, with the money to be collected at masses throughout the diocese.

Today meanwhile, an initiative for victims in the Philippines is being held in West Clare, students of St Joseph’s Secondary School in Spanish Point and locals in the area are hosting a fundraising drive at the school.
