Fundraiser In Memory Of Caitríona Lucas To Scale New Heights For Burren Chernobyl Project

An ambitious team of mountaineers will be aiming to scale new heights in memory of Clare, Irish Coast Guard Volunteer Caitríona Lucas.

In 2016, Ms Lucas from Ballyvaughan was the first member of the force to lose her life while on active duty, near Kilkee.

In memory of Caitríona, the trio of Cormac Coyne from Galway along with Deirdre Linnane from Clare and Caitríona’s husband, Bernard will be attempting to climb the five highest peaks in Ireland and the UK within 72 hours, with all funds raised going to the Burren Chernobyl Project.

Bernard Lucas says they’re expecting a gruelling but rewarding process.
