There’s been an overwhelming response to a fundraiser which has been launched to assist the family of an Ennis toddler ahead of major surgery.
In June of 2019, Sarah Summerly was born with OEIS complex, a rare combinations of serious birth defects resulting in her liver, intestines and bladder developing outside her body.
As part of her ongoing care, and in a bid to help her lead as independent a life as is possible, Sarah will have two major surgeries in the UK this year which will mean staying in hospital for a lengthy period.
A GoFundMe appeal, entitled ‘Support Sarah Summerly’, has already raised €28,000 and Sarah’s mother, Michelle, says she’s eternally grateful to those who have helped out.
