More than 80,000 in Government funding has been approved for works to re-inforce Kilkee Seawall.
Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW, Patrick O’Donovan has announced that Clare County Council’s application for funding under the Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme has been approved.
The Office of Public Works has approved 81,000 euro for proposed works to reinforce the existing sea walls with reinforced concrete foundation.

The funding has been welcomed by Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey who has expressed hope that the works will begin soon.
