The allocation of funding for urgent remedial works for a bridge in South East Clare has been welcomed by a local Councillor.
The Department of Transport has granted 60 thousand euro towards repairs works on Cappantymore Bridge in Meelick, which spans the Crompaun stream.
Large cut stones had become dislodged from the bridge, due to heavy use, which led to concerns being raised by local residents.
Meelick Councillor Cathal Crowe says the funding should be adequate
