Funding Announcement For Clare Heritage Projects

Heritage projects in Clare are set to benefit from more than 143,000 euro in funding.

Through the “Structures at Risk Fund”, three buildings in the county will receive 31,000 euro in funding, while 112,500 euro will go towards 13 projects through the “Built Heritage Investment Scheme”.

The funding has been announced by Minister Heather Humphreys as part of a 4.8 million euro investment in heritage projects across the country.

It will allow for the conservation and repair of the protected structures across the county.

 

Through the “Structures at Risk Fund”, Clare will receive €31,000 for Ross House, Ross, O’Briensbridge; Mount Ievers Court, Sixmilebridge and Barntick House, Clarecastle, Co. Clare.

Separately, Clare heritage projects will receive €112,500 through the “Built Heritage Investment Scheme”.

The projects to benefit from this scheme include private and public structures including Murphy’s Public House, Market Square, Kilkee; Sykes House, West End, Kilkee; Carnelly House, Clarecastle; Mount Ievers Court, Sixmilebridge; E. Richardson, Main Street, Killaloe; St. Caimins Church, Mountshannon; Old Blacksmiths Cottage, Kilkishen; Barntick House, Barntick, Clarecastle; Glenard House, Manus, Clarecastle; Ross House, Ross, O’Briensbridge; Stamer Park, Francis Street; Besborough House, Killimer, Kilrush; O’Brien Monument, Liscannor; Glencairn House, Hermitage, Ennis; Manus House, Manusmore, Clarecastle and Clare Castle & Barracks, Clarecastle.
