190,000 euro has been granted for repair works to water mains in Newmarket on Fergus.

The funding has been set aside by Irish Water and follows a long-running campaign for a solution to water infrstructure and poor road surface conditions on Main Street in Ballycarr.
Work is due to get underway in the coming months and completed by Autumn.
Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey is welcoming the news, saying he's received confirmation from Clare County Council that the resurfacing of Main Street will be carried out once Irish Water completes its works.
