Students and parents could be faced with full day school closures as members of the ASTI teachers union continue with industrial action.

17,000 secondary school teachers are refusing to undertake any work outside of school hours following their rejection of the Haddington Road Agreement.
The Irish Independent reports that Malahide Community School – one of the country’s largest secondary schools – will close for the day next Tuesday to facilitate parent teacher meetings – while more schools may be forced to follow suit.
