The Food Safety Authority has issued a a health warning regarding the presence of E Coli in a Kilshanny Cheese product.

E. coli O157 was found to be present in Gouda Herb Cheese by Kilshanny Farmhouse Cheese in North Clare.
The bacteria was found in a batch of the Cheese which was produced in September of last year which has been sold by a retailer in Clare and in the Limerick Milk Market.
Kilshanny Farmhouse Cheese has been ordered by the Department of Agriculture and Food to withhold placing any further batches on the market and consumers are advised not to eat the implicated cheese due to the presence of E. coli
