Frustration As 98-Year-Old West Clare Woman Still Waiting For Vaccine

The grandson of a 98-year-old West Clare woman who’s still waiting for her vaccine has slammed health officials for a lack of communication.

Great Great Grandmother Sarah Ryan from Quilty, who’s house-bound, hasn’t been able to go into the GP surgery to get her vaccine and as a result needs her jab to be administered in her home.

But she still has no appointment, even though the government said this week that all over 85s had received their jab, while the HSE’s has also said the vaccination of housebound patients is “going well”.

Sarah’s grandson Declan Wilkes says they’re at their wits end.
