The Inagh-based CEO of Muintir na Tíre says there’s fresh optimism that problems facing rural Ireland will be addressed.
Niall Garvery is commenting in light of a progress report on the Action Plan for Rural Ireland which has been released by the Minister with responsibility for rural affairs Michael Ring.
The plan was launched in January and the Government says that since then, 195 of the 202 actions contained in it have been either completed on schedule, or are in progress.
