Fresh Concerns Raised Over Refugees Sleeping In Tented Accommodation At Knockalisheen During Cold Snap

Fresh concerns have been raised after around 60 refugees were forced to sleep in tents overnight in South East Clare, as temperatures plummeted across the country.

The international protection applicants were in tented accommodation in Knockalisheen, due to a shortage of beds.

Several concerns have been raised in the past over tented accommodation for refugees during cold weather.

Clare TD Cathal Crowe says housing refugees in tents during the winter is “not appropriate”.
