Fresh calls are being made to transform Clare Abbey into a prominent focal point on the approach to Ennis.
It follows the recent desecration of the family grave of the Slatterys from Clarecastle there, with Councillors in Ennis saying it’s become a hotspot for anti-social behaviour.

Several calls have been made for Clare Abbey to be flood lit at night and cleaned up, so that visitors coming to Ennis can make the journey out to it.
