A fresh bail application is expected today in the trial of a man charged in connection with an alleged assault with a meat cleaver.
The victim of the alleged attack, Marcion Jeziorny, required 20 stitches following the incident which occurred at Coor East, Doonogan, Miltown Malbay on May 17th.
He'd been sharing the property with fellow Polish national, Patrick Kolodziej, who is charged with assault causing serious harm to him, as well as drugs charges.
Efforts to secure bail have been rejected, but a renewed bail application is to be heard at a court sitting in Ennis later today.
