A pre-dawn raid resulted in a siege and shoot out in the suburb of Saint Denis (pron: san den ee) in which two people died.

7 people have been arrested and 2 died during this morning’s raid, including a woman who detonated a suicide belt when the police surrounded the building.

The target of the raid was the two prime suspects: Abdelhamid Aboud and Saleh Abdesalam – both Belgian born terrorists and member of ISIS.

Saint Denis is relatively impoverished part of Paris, and there had been concerns that some radical elements lived here.

In the meantime, President of France Francois Hollande has reiterated his call for an international response in defeating ISIS.
