ASL is seeking US government approval to operate flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Providence, Rhode Island – this service would also stop a the MidWest Airport.

Discussions have taken place between Shannon Airport Management and the French airline but no decision has been made on whether the service will be given the green light.

Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey says it would be hugely beneficial to the region, if it goes ahead.
