French Air Traffic Control Strike Ends

A strike by air traffic controllers in France – which led to disruption at Shannon Airport and was due to carry on until the weekend – has ended after two days.

Unions say they've made progress with the French government on modernisation plans.

Hundreds of flights had to be rerouted or cancelled, including Ryanair services between Shannon and Spain, while the action was going on.
