Drivers are being warned not to get complacent as a cold weather warning remains in place across the country.
Roads turned hazardous overnight as temperatures dropped to minus 4 degrees. There were no serious issues reported in Clare as a result, but roads were said to be particularly slippery in and around Shannon.

There is a slight thaw expected this afternoon, but lows of minus 6 are predicted later tonight.
