New counselling services have been launched for family carers throughout Clare.
Family Carers Ireland has launched the free service in response to a recent study, which found that 48% of carers have been diagnosed with mental ill-health and 68% felt that their health has suffered as a result of their role.
Other supports in place for the more than 9,000 family carers in Clare include a national freephone helpline, online training, and distribution of PPE to family carers in need.
