An Ennis-based credit union claims more people in Clare are turning to them as banking providers leave the Irish market.

Ulster Bank and KBC have begun their exit from the country, prompting many consumers to be faced with switching their current accounts and mortgages.

Credit unions across Clare are attempting to entice customers by entering the mortgage market and offering debit card services.
