Around four thousand people turned out to take part in the 'Darkness into Light' fundraising event for suicide prevention in Clare this morning.

Pieta House says up to 80,000 took part in the initiative nationwide, which got underway at quarter past four this morning, at 39 venues across Ireland.
Kilrush hosted its first ever darkness into light walk with around 500 participants, while Ennis, which started out with 550 people four years ago, saw 3500 people line the streets of the county town in the walk.
