Four Straight Weeks Without COVID-Related Death In Clare – CSO

Clare has now gone four consecutive weeks without a death linked to COVID-19.

New CSO figures have confirmed the recent low instances of the disease here, with the 17 cases recorded in the week to last Friday being the lowest number registered here since December.

The official death toll here as a result of the pandemic stands at 115, with 4,868 cases diagnosed in the county since last March.

An average of four close contacts has been reported by those who tested positive here last week, which is higher than the figure of a fortnight ago, but remains in line with the national average.
