Four Clare Schools To Benefit From Hot School Meals Programme

Hot meals are to be provided at four primary schools in Clare, under a €5.5 million extension of the government’s Hot School Meals Programme.

Annagh National School in Miltown Malbay, Mol an Óige Ennistymon, Convent of Mercy Kilrush and Ennis Educate together are all among the 189 schools nationwide selected for the scheme – an almost 5 fold increase on the number last year.

Research from the Department of Social Protection suggests the scheme has impacted positively on school attendance and the mental well-being of students.
