The founding President of the region’s newest university insists the project will present ‘significant’ opportunities for Ennis.
Professor Vincent Cunnane, the outgoing President of LIT, is to take up the role when the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest is officially established next month.
Ennis’ Bindon Street campus will be a part of the institution’s offering, established it as a university town for the first time.
