A former Chair of Shannon Group says rising passenger numbers and a shortage of staff at airports could lead to an increase in travel delays in the weeks ahead.
It comes as the EU has warned airline delays could be at their worst ever this summer.

Industrial action by air traffic control workers, mainly based in France, were the main reason for flights being delayed or cancelled according to the latest data from Eurocontrol.
Founder of Aer Arrann, and former chairperson of the Shannon Group, Pádraig Ó Céidigh, says airports are under more pressure as passenger numbers continue to grow.
