A former Mayor of Clare believes a new M18 service area would stop dangerous lorry and bus parking.
It comes as Transport Infrastructure Ireland has responded to a local authority query about identifying a possible site for a service area with commercial parking on the M18 in Clare.
Planning permission is currently being sought for a facility near Junction 12 and T-I-I says if this application fails, it will reactivate its planning process.
