Formal Complaint Lodged Alleging Taoiseach Defamed Murphy

A formal complaint has been made to Leinster House authorities, alleging the Taoiseach defamed an opposition TD this week.

Paul Murphy says he was unfairly linked to violent behaviour at the Jobstown protest in which he had no part.

A spokesman for Leo Varadkar says the Taoiseach has “nothing to add” to his comments, where he criticised “thuggery” at the protest.
