The ESB is increasing the flow of water through the Parteen Weir for the second time in as many days.

The level of discharge had remained at the same level for a number of days but the power company has confirmed that it will increase the flow of water from 195 to 230 cubic metres per second this afternoon.
The ESB is warning that land and property along the lower river Shannon, including the Springfield are of Clonlara remains vulnerable to flooding at this level of discharge.
