Clare County Council is being called to urgently address a build up of silt in the county’s rivers following yesterday’s floods.
Many farmers have reported high levels of water lying on their land after up to 40mm of rain fell on Munster.

The east of the county was particularly badly hit with rivers and drains bursting their banks.
