It follows a considerable drop in water levels in Lough Derg in the past week.

Meanwhile, Clare County Council has confirmed that a number of roads have reopened in flood-affected parts of North and Southeast Clare.

The N67 at New Quay has re-opened as water levels continue to slowly recede.

However a number of primary and local routes in the north of the remain flooded.
