Fleadh Decision Awaited

Anticipation and nerves are building in Ennis, ahead of a decision on whether Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann is to come to the town next year.

Now the world's largest traditional music festival, the Fleadh was last held here in 1977.

It's grown into an event which attracts 350,000 visitors annually, and one which would be worth around 30 million euro to the local economy.

Paul Madden of the Templegate Hotel has told Clare FM's Morning Focus that he's confident the town would be great hosts to the Fleadh.
