A section of road at the East End in Kilkee is closed this lunchtime following flash flooding overnight.

The Kilkee Fire Brigade were called to the scene early this morning after blocked drains and heavy rain led to the area near Waterworld becoming flooded, due to an overflowing stream.
Council staff are currently on site working to release the water through the sea wall.
No damage was caused to residental properties, and the council expect the road to re open shortly.
