Chairman of IT Tralee Flan Garvey insists he’s been fully vindicated following the recent investigation into his masters thesis.

The former Mayor of Clare was cleared of wrongdoing after the Institute of Technology found parts of his study of the history of his native parish of Inagh/Kilnamona were copied from another writer but not intentionally.
Flan Garvey says the investigation has found him totally innocent adding it was " unique" but not inappropriate for him to study at the college whilst in the role of chairman.
He admits there was mistake with the thesis but says it was just a small error.
