Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to five years in prison for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year.

However the athlete's defence lawyer says she expects him to serve only 10 months of the jail sentence behind bars.
It's suggested he could serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest.
Judge Masipa told the court in Pretoria earlier that she felt a long sentence would lack the "element of mercy" – she also dismissed the defence's suggestion for community service saying it 'would not be appropriate.'
He also received a three year suspended sentence for a gun-related charge.
