Five New Gardaí Allocated To Clare’s Roads Policing Unit

Road policing in Clare has received a major boost, with five new Gardaí allocated to the division.

Four Garda officers and a sergeant are joining the unit, which is based at Ennis Garda Station and is responsible for roads policing across the county.

They’ll be involved in educating children and young people about the dangers of the roads, as well as patrols and enforcement.

Inspector John Ryan, who’s in charge of roads policing in Clare, says the new Gardaí, who are among 87 nationally to join roads policing, will be vital in continuing to drive down road accidents in this county.
