There's three routes in the Fleadh traffic plan, all with varying restrictions, the first of which kicks into affect tonight.

O'Connell Street, Abbey Street, Francis Street, New Road, Harmony Row, Station Road, Bothar na Trocaire and the Old Gaol Road will all close at some point over the next eleven days.

Traffic will be directed along the Ennis Inner Ring Road, which takes in the Clare Road, Mill Road, Tulla Road and Clon Road.

Motorists are being encouraged to use supervised park and ride facilities at eight locations on the outskirts of Ennis -These charge a 5 euro daily rate and provide a shuttle bus service every twenty minutes.

The plan is designed to keep traffic moving but delays are expected.

Drivers in the town are encouraged to leave twenty minutes early, to ensure you reach your destination on time.
