As expected Fianna Fail's Timmy Dooley has topped the poll after the first count in the Clare constituency.
The outgoing TD secured 10250 first preference votes, over 1 and a half thousand more than second-placed Independent Dr. Michael Harty on 8629.

Fine Gael's Pat Breen lies in third place at the moment on 6583 and fellow outgoing TD Joe Carey is fourth on 6071.
Fianna Fail's Michael McDonagh, Labour's Michael McNamara and Sinn Fein's Noeleen Moran are all within 600 votes of each other as it stands.
